The Open Door Work Placement Programme 2026 has successfully concluded! Special thanks to Prudential Hong Kong for sponsoring us for four consecutive years, and the Equal Opportunities Commission for joining as a key partner to expand our network to local SMEs. With 17 dedicated employers, we empowered 20 ethnically diverse youth to complete internships with a 95% placement precision into their top 3 choices. This programme demonstrates that true inclusion relies on mutual respect and genuine communication.

As a final wrap-up to the ceremony, Mr. Andy Lo, Senior People Consultant at KOS International, hosted an insightful LinkedIn workshop to equip interns for future challenges. We wish all our youth the courage to continue writing their own incredible professional stories!

During this back-to-school season, Hong Kong has tragically recorded multiple student suicides and emotional crises. Recent studies also indicate that the suicide rate among young people aged 15 to 24 in Hong Kong has hit a 10-year high. Faced with these heartbreaking statistics, KELY Support Group firmly believes that "One is Too Many".

We observe that distressed students often turn to their peers first, making the promotion of peer support education an urgent priority. Big change starts with small steps. We invite you to join our pledge today and show everyday care and offer a listening ear—so no young person ever has to face their darkest moments alone.

九月開學季，香港接連發生多宗學童輕生及情緒危機個案；早前的調查亦指出，本港 15 至 24 歲青年的自殺率創下十年新高。面對這些令人心碎的數據，啟勵扶青會堅信「一個都嫌多」。我們觀察到受困擾的學生往往首選向同輩傾訴，因此推動朋輩支援教育實在刻不容緩。

Responding to the Chief Executive's 2026 Policy Address
啟勵扶青會回應 2026 年《施政報告》

While KELY Support Group welcomes the new pathways for youth development in the 2026 Policy Address, including the "30,000 Youth Employment and Internship Programme", we believe true "positive development" must be built on a strong foundation of mental wellbeing.

Navigating today’s competitive world brings unique pressures, which is why we advocate for three recommendations: expanding preventative emotional and mental health education, equipping the community to spot early signs of distress to reduce social stigma, and ensuring all young people receive necessary support regardless of ethnicity or background. When we invest in both the professional aspirations and the psychological health of our young people, we truly empower them to reach their full potential.

啟勵扶青會樂見 2026 年《施政報告》透過「三萬青年職位及實習計劃」等措施為年青人開拓機遇，但真正的「正向發展」必須由「心」出發。在競爭激烈的社會中，我們堅信精神健康是青年發揮所長的基石。為此，我們提出三大核心倡議：推動及普及預防性的情緒與精神健康教育、裝備社會各界識別情緒困擾徵兆以消除社會污名化，並確保所有年青人不論種族及背景均能獲得所需支援。唯有在支持青年追尋抱負的同時，好好守護他們的心靈，我們才能真正啟發每一位青年的無限潛能。
